Product Description Belt-O-Band™ is a pre-applied self-adhesive HDPE DPC strip manufactured with ROTERPROOF™ technology for plinth/belt protection.  Belt-O-Band™ is a unique HDPE DPC strip comprising of a flexible HDPE film, high bond strength adhesive which is covered by a protective release film on one side and pressure sensitive adhesive covered with a weather resistant layer on the other side.  Belt-O-Band™ meets the requirements of IS 16471:2017 as well as BS 8102:2009 and EN 13967:2012 recommendations for providing Type A protection.Features & Advantages Protects the building floor from rising dampness and leakage. Prevents the growth of termites. Prevents the attack of rats and red ants. Fast and easy application. Accommodates minor substrate/structure movements. Resistant to acid, alkali and aggressive ground water conditions.Advantages One single product for preventing rising dampness as well as preventing termites, rats and red ants from entering into the blockwork/brickwork. Dual bonding technology. If surface is damp, it shall be dried with hot air blower, etc. The surface shall be free from debris, loose aggregate and sharp protrusions and shall have a level, even and solid surface for application.Membrane Installation Belt-O-Band™ can be applied at temperatures of -4°C or above. During cold or damp conditions, the adhesive can be gently warmed using a hot air gun or similar to remove the moisture or condensation and improve initial adhesion.ToleranceTypically, ±10% from the above values.  APP waterproofing membrane? APP stands for Atactic Polypropylene. APP membrane is the most commonly used waterproofing material on concrete roofs and low-slope roofs. APP membrane is applied to asphalts with a torch.

Atactic Poly Propylene (APP) modified bituminous membrane with PE foil (Formerly Sika® WP Shield-103) DESCRIPTION SikaShield® P22 PE IN 3 mm is an APP modified bituminous waterproofing membrane with a thickness of 3 mm. It is reinforced with a hybrid composite reinforcement fabric and is flexible at 2 °C. The top surface is coated with polyethylene foil, which ensures the bond of the overlying layer. The underside of the product has a burn-off film for easy torch-application. Product Details:
Sika® WP Shield-104 PM membrane is manufactured by modifying premium grade asphalts with atactic poly propylene and specially reinforced with non- woven polyester. This type of membrane show excellent strength, elasticity and durability.

Uses:
It is an excellent uv stable membrane hence can be used to waterproof:

• Medium to Large Roof Concrete Exposed Roofs

Application Instructions:
Substrate QualityConcrete, mortar surfaces must be clean, free from grease, oil, and loosely adhering particles. Steel and iron surfaces must be free from scale, rust, grease and oil.

Substrate PreparationNew concrete should be cured for at least 28 days and should have a pull off strength ≥1.5 N/mm2. Cementitious or Mineral based substrates must be prepared mechanically using abrasive blast cleaning or scarifyingequipment to remove cement laitance and to achieve an open textured surface.Loose friable material and weak concrete must be completely removed and surface defects such asblowholes and voids must be fully exposed. The concrete must be carefully assessed for moisture content, air entrapment, and surface finish prior toany primer application

Application Method / Tools:

• Apply a bituminous primer to the concrete substrateby a brush, roller or a spray machine.
• After the primer applied surface gets dried align the
• membrane on the substrate by unrollinng the membrane.
• Post its alignment re-roll the membrane half way
• from both sides.
• Use gas burner to heat the substrate and thermofusible film on the underside on lower face of the membrane. When the thermo-fusible film and the layer
• ofbitumen melts after torching the membrane is
• ready to stick.
• Roll and press firmly against the substrate to bond.
• The bitumen should ooze out from the edges which
• will make the edges watertight. After the first roll is
• torched align the second roll next to the first and repeat the same procedure as above, also the overlapmust be 80mm for the side and 150 mm at the ends.
• The membranes should be laid in a staggered manner so that the seams are not in a line.
• All the details at edges, parapet walls, pipe penetrations etc shoud also be sealed with extra care to en-surefull bondage. The edges should be sealed well into the grooves.
• Detailings must be treated with utmost care such as
• Pipe Penetrations, Lightening Conductors Clips, Pedestals etc with proper overlaps.Sika Technical Services team to be consulted in case of any query
